The first three, Mercedes-Benz museum, Stuttgart

After Mr Benz improved the reliability of the design of his one-cylinder gas powered engine, he promptly started installing them into various vehicles:

First engine - driven carriage. Automocar!

Marie, owned by Bismarck. First engine - driven boat.

The position of the lever in front of the engine determines how much power is delivered to the propeller underneath. This contraption would have hung from a large balloon.
