Formula student, Silverstone

Leaderboard for the sprint section. It has Munich at the top, but that is due to a timing error giving them a lap time of 0.12 seconds. An American team from Oregon State University (misspelled on the board) won the sprint section.

DB 601 engine. 33 Litre inverted V12. I had half a suspicion that the museum would have 1914 - 1945 FOOTAGE MISSING. But no, the displays were pretty up-front about Mercedes-Benz's role in manufacturing engines for warfare. The factories were prime targets for Allied bombing raids too.
