Luge track deemed safe

After the death of the Georgian luger Nodar Kumaritashvili, Canadian Winter Olympics officials, ever prudent, decide that the best thing to do would be to 'send down the Ossie girl, you know, to test the track. It would be a tragedy to lose another potential medal candidate.'

Said another official 'but we still don't know if the luge track is safe at really high speeds..'

Australia day

Notice no beer in the photos. The only Australian beer we could find for sale was Foster's, and we can't condone that sort of thing.. The folks at 'The Bee's Mouth' on Western Rd serve Cooper's Pale and Cooper's sparkling, though. At the bar.
